Antigua Colonial Humanitarian Tour

ON THIS TOUR YOU WILL:


Your unforgettable journey begins when your professional tour guide greets you at your arrival at Puerto Quetzal's pier, to guide you to our fully equipped A/C transportation.

We will take a short 40 minutes drive - passing thru the sugar cane fields of the pacific region of Escuintla to visit one of the several schools on route to do humanitarian activities; where you will have the opportunity to personally donate your gifts to the Mayan children. Enjoy watching the children break open a piñata to see the shower of candy and their happy faces, also listen to songs in Mayan, Spanish and English sung by the children in gratitude for your visit.

Continue for 20 minutes traveling along side three magnificent volcanoes and coffee plantations to the village of San Antonio Aguas Calientes to see the textile artisan weavers - One lucky guest will be chosen to model one of the many beautiful handmade Mayan dresses lots of fun! Sample a hot corn tortilla with black beans, avocado or any other delicacy and admire the process of making one of the best coffees in Guatemala. At the end you will be able to taste a cup of java. Enjoy!

Enter Colonial Antigua through the village of Jocotenango and stop at La Merced Church to admire the architecture of this ancient Colonial church!
We wil then head to Antigua's Central Park and admire The Palace of the Lords, the Main Cathedral and the Arabesque – Spaniard architecture. Right after, we will visit the Jade Factory and learn how jadeite is converted into beautiful jewelry.

We will be ending our tour enjoying a delicious Guatemalan lunch at one of the many restaurants of this beautiful Colonial city!
