The GWG Avocado Plantation and Colonial Antigua Combo Tour

ON THIS TOUR YOU WILL:

Journey to the colonial capital of Antigua at 5,500 feet above sea level via a scenic 90-minute, narrated drive through Guatemalan lowlands, while en route sample exotic fruits prepared and sanitized to sweeten your journey.

Keep an eye out for magnificent views of volcanoes, cattle, and sugar cane plantations. At 5,000 feet above sea level, you will discover the avocado plantation at San Miguel Duenas, learn about this great fruit and the benefits of consuming it on a daily basis, enjoy a guacamole snack and chips, and continue to Antigua, the colonial jewel of the Americas.

Once in Antigua, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit Central Park and walk to a nearby restaurant for a "light lunch". After lunch, walk to the Jade Museum & Factory where fine jadeite jade is transformed into works of art (jadeite jade is found mainly in Guatemala and Burma); on your way to the factory, enjoy the Spanish architecture of homes built 500 years ago.

Stop at the artisanal market before returning to the ship.
